We are currently seeking an enthusiastic college student or recent college graduate for an Internship in the Attorney Recruiting & Development department of the Houston office reporting directly to the Senior Coordinator, Attorney Recruiting & Development.

This internship is an opportunity for college students seeking a robust and challenging summer intern experience. We are looking for enthusiastic college students who are highly motivated to contribute to our firm by providing day-to-day administrative support and assistance to the Attorney Recruiting & Development department.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all aspects of the summer program, including event planning, updating budget, maintaining calendar, tracking participation and attending events
  • Assist with on-campus interviews (OCI), including hospitality suite logistics, callback interview scheduling and creating offer letters
  • Assist with preparing materials for on-campus programming and events
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings and firm presentations
  • Manage interview calendar for on-campus and lateral recruiting
  • Maintain recruiting database (ViRecruit) including entry of resubmissions, candidate status, interview information and schedules, and reporting
  • Track and process recruiting expenses using ChromeRiver accounting software
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner and be a resource for recruiting–related inquires
  • Assist with firmwide initiatives as needed
  • Additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Enrolled in accredited university or college
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with database applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate with attorneys and staff in an effective manner
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner
  • Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, office and firm management, vendors, and law school personnel
  • Ability to work well under pressure, motivate self, facilitate creative solutions, and meet deadlines and milestones for projects assigned
