Overview:

The Legal Recruiting Assistant assists the Legal Recruiting Manager with all areas of the legal recruiting program for the Houston office. This position assists with the planning and implementation of the on-campus and summer associate programs and is also active in lateral associate recruiting.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility for assisting with follow-up with candidates
  • Assigns and tracks follow-up with candidates with offers
  • Assists with recruiting events
  • Schedules callback interviews
  • Assists with law school presentations and programs
  • Assists with summer events - calendar and budget
  • Assists with follow-up with summer associates
  • Assists with developing recruiting materials and brochures
  • Assists with website enhancement for recruiting purposes (extranet), including collaboration with web editors to update internal and external recruiting websites
  • Assists with surveys
  • Attends and participates in conferences as needed
  • Inputs data into and maintains Lawcruit database
  • Tracks applicant data
  • Maintains summer associate files and paperwork
  • Processes recruiting expenses as needed
  • Monitors Summer Associate work projects and assignments
  • Assists with Summer Associate training and orientation
  • Assists with arrival of Summer Associates including practice group assignments, office assignments, arrival and departure dates and mentors/supervising attorneys

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year of recruiting experience in a law firm environment or equivalent education and work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Suite
  • Prior experience with database management
